Run, Misha, Run!

On September 5, 2010, Misha Collins ran for 83 kilometers (about 52 miles)! This event is now over. Thank you so much to everyone who fulfilled their pledges made in honor of Misha’s run by the October 2nd deadline.

It’s not too late for those who have not yet done so to meet your initial pledges. Your donations will still help Random Acts conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time.

As previously stated, the money raised by this campaign will go to Random Acts, the three orphanages in Haiti that we support*, and flood relief efforts in Pakistan through Mercy Corps.

How your contribution will be spent:

• 33% will be divided between the orphanages we support in Haiti*
• 15% will go to support victims of the horrific flooding in Pakistan
• 51.99% will go to support random acts of kindness all around the world
• .01% will be spent bribing public officials

Random Acts is run by a lone paid staff member, the director, and an army of dedicated volunteers. Although the funds from this campaign have been set aside, administrative costs** average 15% of total funds raised. So you know your money is going to be spent efficiently.

* The three orphanages:

• Faith and Love Orphanage in Jacmel
• Espoir des Enfants
• A small, unnamed orphanage in the village of Cyavidier, outside of Jacmel
